Huron River Press is pleased to release, Perbacco Isabella! - Italian country cooking from your good friends at Paesano's, by Chef Isabella Nicolletti. The cookbook features recipes that explore the cooking traditions, tastes and style of Isabella's Italian heritage from her native Trissino, located in the Veneto region of Northern Italy.

The 191-page, hard cover, book is filled with gorgeous food photography that pops from the pages. Additional photos take you to Isabella's Italian roots – to her childhood kitchen in Trissino, her grandfather’s vineyard, her local bakery, butcher shop, and farmers market. Action shots of life in the kitchen and dining room at Paesano's; the wine tasting events, Italian language classes and special dinners incorporate all the passion and creativity that is Paesano’s and Isabella.

While exquisite in design, this book has such warmth in its color palate that it begs to be opened. The serious cook as well as the novice will be able to follow the recipes written in clear, easy to follow instructions. The book is organized by the seasons with recipes for antipasto, pasta, insalata, contorno, carne, pesce, and dolce for each season. Isabella has accompanied the recipes with her childhood memories, sprinkling them with her native Italian; even the recipe titles are in both English and Italian. Interspersed throughout are more detailed stories highlighting the seasons, specific ingredients, and local Italian lore. All of these are told in Isabella's voice, capturing her colorful personality.

Bridget and Michael Roddy's Paesano's Restaurant has served the Ann Arbor community rustic, authentic, country Italian food since 1984. Isabella Nicoletti has endeared herself to the restaurant and to all of those "good friends" who come to share the warm, joyous flair of her seasonal cooking.
